The Digital Art Director is responsible for driving creative vision and providing influence on future possibilities. This role leads dedicated teams across various projects, working to build relationships with the client and constantly deliver high quality work. The Digital Art Director leads the process of translating strategy insights into tangible concepts in partnership with the creative director and lead strategist, producing data influenced solutions and expanding digital opportunities.
A day for the Digital Art Director role may include helping identify the key steps consumers will interact with when accessing technology, then design models that streamline the steps for a better user experience. On another day, the AD role could be searching for inspiration and feeding themselves on a heavy does of industry/technology trends to inspire others. This individual will not only be conceptual but a hands on leader, forging and executing exciting digital foundations. What You’ll Do Here
- Lead dedicated design teams to deliver quality concepts and executions across multiple accounts
- Create balance between form and function with a solid understanding for executing on projects through both User Experience & Visual Design phases
- Work effectively with the project teams (PMs, AMs, Strategists, Product Managers and Developers) to craft design solutions that clearly meet briefs and/or company objectives – as well as timelines and budgets
- Partner with the engineering team to realize the most innovative and well-crafted executions possible while building a strong relationship between creative and technology
- Support new business through ideation and collaboration
- Confidently present to clients and prospective clients alike
- Stay current on design knowledge and trends, especially in the interactive space
- Act as a true collaborator and mentor both within the creative departments as well as other disciplines
- Embrace being creative and lead by example (work hard but have fun doing it)
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of industry experience
- 4+ years of experience managing client facing projects
- Fluency with digital communication and project management tools; ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong background in web design and interactive technology, including experience leading cross disciplinary teams in complex web and mobile application (iOS and Android) development projects
